Christmas Greetings

Do you send out Christmas cards? I admit my list dwindles each year as I slowly move into the digital age (ironic as I'm an early blogger!). Patricia, that wonderful artist who writes PVEdesign and in fact did my blog banner, was kind enough to send me an image for use on my card this year!  You may remember a few weeks back I posted about adding 'That touch of black' to your fireplace and showed the change to my own fireplace at home.  Patricia magically imagined my mantelpiece at Christmas and I have to say the results are charming.   So please consider this my Christmas Greeting to you and your family with hopes for a very happy new year!
Many thanks to Patricia for this image which I treasure. You might consider contacting her to create your own image!

What a talent - just love her work. The fireplace looks beautiful and I too adore a touch of black in any room. Happy holidays to you and thank you for the beautiful inspiration!!

Beatiful! Is this at the new place or the old?

Very festive!

I always use one of my own drawings for my cards. It may be New Years cards instead of Christmas, however.

I stopped doing cards ages ago. It's sad really. An email card does the trick.... but I have to make mine this year... usually involves the dog.... I love your hand drawn image... perfect for a designer.

The sketch is not only charming but also perfect, absolutely perfect. It is as if she sat in your living room and sketched it in person, don't you think?

You and PVE were some of the first blogs I read. So nice to see your friendship blossom. PVE is so generous with her talent and good will.

Happy holidays. Love the card.

ps I am in the process of having my kitchen area painted BLACK!!! Yesterday they primed the fireplace wall which for over 30 years was white. It's now battleship primer gray...love it!

Oh so very kind of you to share....I need to re-do as there are a few areas I want to perfect but that is the life of an artist....we always see room for improvement. Enjoy the magic of the holidays.

I actually expanded my list last year. I decided too many not so distant relatives were becoming more distant so I upped my card sending. Every other year I also include one of the dreaded Christmas letters. I love getting them so I thought I should carry on the tradition.
